Manohar Lal Khattar steps down

On March 12, resignations were sent to Governor Bandaru Dattatreya by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and his cabinet members, including Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala.

The Manohar Lal Khattar steps down- coincide with rumored divisions about seat-sharing arrangements for the next Lok Sabha elections within the Haryana government’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) combination.

A break between the BJP and its alliance partner in Haryana, the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), is expected due to disagreements over seat-sharing negotiations ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. We always knew the BJP-JJP coalition was formed only to mislead people, and it’s now evident that they were never founded on anything, said to Congress leader Bhupinder Hooda. They are exposed, and people will support us in the election.

Regarding JJP’s potential membership in the INDIA bloc, the top Congressman refuted any potential partnership with Dushyant Chautala’s political outfit.

The Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) abandoned the alliance, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won majority in Haryana with the backing of 41 MLAs and independents, including well-known leader Gopal Kanda. As per the party’s statement, this places the BJP far above the halfway mark of 45 in the state assembly.

After the cabinet is dissolved, the BJP will establish the government with the help of Independent MLAs, they claimed.

It is uncertain, though, if Mr. Khattar would retake the oath as Chief Minister. The seasoned senior could run from Karnal in the Lok Sabha elections, according to party sources. This occurs one day after JJP leader Dushyant Chautala met with J P Nadda, the head of the BJP, to talk about the two allies’ seat sharing in the state.

Today, Home Minister Amit Shah and Dushyant Chautala will meet in a final attempt to salvage the partnership.
