Hydrogen car
An automobile that uses hydrogen as its main fuel source to produce electricity is referred to as a fuel cell vehicle (FCV), sometimes known as a hydrogen car. There are no emissions at all from this reaction; the only products are electrical energy, heat, and water, which is expelled as water vapor through the exhaust.
Depending on the requirements of the particular driving environment, the fuel cell produces power in one of two different ways. It either flows to the electric motor, which drives the car directly, or it charges a battery, which serves as a temporary energy reserve until the drive is required.
This “buffer” battery is considerably smaller and lighter than the battery in an all-electric vehicle. The fuel cell also continuously recharges it.
